The elderly couple walked into my office and announced that they had not gotten along for about fifty years and they wanted a divorce. They looked as if they were around ninety - so I said to them, 'Excuse me for asking, but why have you waited so long to seek a divorce?' And the old gentleman replied, 'We were waiting for the children to die.'

LOL!!!! :) Would say that leave aside the morbid thought and think of the patience these guys had- and also so much of a difference...
Hmm, on a serious note, their attitude and optimism to live their own lives, once their dear ones are not around to feel the pain, is commendable!

life can be sad and tough and people do things for various reasons but if we can't see the lighter side of things then what's the point, eh?

Yes, Zypsy. One day of complete freedom is worth all that and much more..
